With over 20 years of recruitment experience, and having previously worked in a key leadership role with a business owned by three families, Michael has a comprehensive understanding of family business dynamics.
This understanding has been enhanced by his long-time role as an Accredited Advisor with Family Business Association, which has seen him present at a number of State and National Conferences.
In combination, this has enabled Michael to build true expertise in identifying and attracting high quality talent and satisfy his passion for helping family business owners achieve their goals.
We understand the hugely positive impact family businesses have on the Australian economy and the broader community. That understanding drives us to be more than just another recruitment firm. After over two decades of working with families in business, we understand the nuances of these environments, the internal dynamics that often occur, and the unique challenges that can face the non-family leaders we recruit.
Rather than rely heavily on job advertisements, our focus is on proactively seeking out top talent and holding deeper conversations with them about their professional aspirations. We “talent map” industries to identify and approach high performers, and cultivate networks from which we seek referrals and recommendations, rather than pin our hopes on job boards.
Previously based in Brisbane, we’re now operating from Hobart in Tasmania. Nevertheless, Michael has recruited for clients along the Eastern Seaboard for over 20 years, regularly travels to visit businesses interstate, and uses technology to bridge the gaps when necessary.
